District Play
Bethany defeated Watonga 9-0 in the first game and 9-2 in the second to move into the Regional Tournament at Frederick, Oklahoma on Thursday.

Bethany pulled out a victory over OCS on Monday after starting off behind 4-0. The Bronchos scored 4 runs in the 5th inning to bring things even, and then in the seventh they had the bases loaded with no one out and could not score. The eighth proved to be the heartbreaker for OCS as Bethany scored on an error to win the game 5-4.

Bethany defeated Bridgecreek on Monday night. Joey Gordon went the distance on the mound, and he hit a three run homer that brought the Bronchos from behind to win a close one 5-4.

The Bronchos looked better in this tournament than they have all year. There were still some adventursome moments in the field, but we were able to overcome those and score enough runs to walk away with the trophy. Seth Tidmore pitched a nice game against Watonga, and Joey Gordon hit a homerun to spark the Bronchs to a 10-1 spanking. In the second game Preston Simms stole the show by pitching well and by hitting two (that's right two) homeruns in the game against Cashion. Saturday we played the Moreland Bearcats who are rated #1 in Class A, and they were a good team. Trey Keoppel threw against Moreland and came away with a complete game win in a see saw battle which showed great character by the Bronchos to make a second comeback charge to win the game 11-6 in a really fun game.

What a great start on April. The Bronchos defeated Heritage Hall 8-0. Preston Simms threw a nice game from the hill, and we jumped out to a 2 run lead in the first inning. We followed up with several hits after struggling with a softball type pitcher. Joey Gordon hit a three run homer in the fifth, and the rest was history.

The Anadarko Tournament continued the hitting drought as Bethany lost two and won one in the tournament. The good thing is that March Madness is over. I think things are going to pick up in April.

No Sticks. We played well enough in the field to win on Monday, but we did not put hits together to score runs. You still have to score runs to win.

We looked like a real team on Friday against St. Mary's. Joey Gordon hit a two run homer and Trey Keoppel hit a solo homerun to lead Bethany to a cruise against the Rockets. Seth Tidmore got the complete game and the win after a nice performance on the hill. Great job guys!

The Bethany Bronchos played behind much of the game on Tuesday night, but they finally pulled even with Bridgecreek 3 to 3 in the top of the 7th inning only to fall short by allowing a run in the bottom half of the 7th.

Heritage Hall beat us. Sorry, that's about all I know. I had a meeting and missed the game.

The Bronchos got back on track Saturday by winning two games. The early game against Cushing was a good close game. Seth Tidmore did a nice job on the mound, and we were able to jump out to an early lead that lasted throughout the game and ended with a 7-5 win for the good guys.

The nightcap proved to be more difficult and a bit cooler as the game lasted 11 innings and ended some time after 9:15 pm. Preston started things off with a grand slam which provided a lead that lasted until Deer Creek tied the game in the bottom ot the seventh and sent the game into extra innings. The deadlock continued until the 11th when the Bronchos loaded the bases and Zack spanked a double with an error that plated three runs. Zack later scored and the Bronchos closed the bottom half of the inning without much trouble to defeat Deer Creek 12-8.
